The Venue: Bear Mountain Inn
Built in 1915 from native stone and chestnut timber, the Bear Mountain Inn sits inside Bear Mountain State Park with Hessian Lake on one side and the mountain on the other. For a wedding videographer it is a gift: rustic lodge interiors, wide lawns, forested trails for portraits, and golden-hour light that pours across the lake. It is roughly an hour from New York City and a world away from it.

We filmed Emily and Thomas’s day as a husband-and-wife team, in 4K with professional audio recording on the vows and toasts, so every word they said to each other is preserved exactly as it sounded. The film pairs the grandeur of the Highlands with the small, real moments that make a wedding feel like theirs: the first look, the laughter during speeches, hands finding each other on the dance floor.
