About the studio

Cinematic Shelter Island wedding films, on the water.

Ashley Film Studios is a husband-and-wife wedding videography team based on Long Island, joined by lead photographer Colleen Reilly. We’ve filmed several Shelter Island weddings, and we know how a day on the island flows.

A Shelter Island wedding has its own rhythm: guests arriving by ferry, a ceremony on the lawn above the harbor, sailboats in the background of the portraits, and a reception that runs into a long summer evening. We plan ferry timing into the day, film in 4K on Sony, Nikon and RED cinema systems, and record professional audio so vows carry over the sea breeze.

Lead photographer Colleen Reilly can join the film team on one shared timeline, or be booked on her own.

Frequently asked questions

Shelter Island wedding videography, answered.

Which Shelter Island venues have you filmed?

Ram’s Head Inn and The Boathouse, along with other East End venues across the Hamptons and the North Fork.

How do you handle the ferry?

We build ferry crossings from Greenport or North Haven into the timeline, so the team, gear and coverage are in place before the day starts.

Do you film the whole weekend?

Yes. Many island weddings include a welcome party or farewell brunch, and we can add coverage for those.

When do Shelter Island dates fill up?

Peak summer Saturdays at the island’s waterfront venues often book 12–14 months out. Late spring and early fall have more flexibility.
